Welcome to the Afghan Hound Club of Greater Houston
Rescue Page

December 2012 Current Available Rescues: Zach (L) and Lady.
Lady is spayed and HW neg. She is fine with people but tends to be fearful and shy around other dogs.
If you are interested, please scroll below the pictures for a link to an application.

Both Lady and Zach have been adopted out to good homes. They are still on a trial period just to make sure it all works out.
Currently we have a male who needs HW treatment. Because he was so severely matted, we as of yet don't have pictuers of him.
As soon as we do, we'll get them up. Thank you for your support of Afghan Hound Rescue in the Greater Houston Area.

Zach is a 2.5 yr old male that gets along with children and small dogs.
He is a large male and loves attention. He crates well and doesn't seem bothered by much of anything.
He is constantly greeting us with tail wags and smiles and loves attention. Zach is good with young children.
He has undergone HW treatment and neutering. His house training needs some work.

If you're interested in a non-rescue Afghan Hound, somtimes hounds are available from club members.
Please fill out an application and we will make every effort to hook you up. (
